When working on the bigger projects, I tend to pick and choose which part of the whole set I feel like working on now. Sometimes it's driven by motivation - as when I have just a few things done in one set compared to the other, but sometimes, and I find it a lot more powerful - it's driven by inspiration. 
While drawing a set of rough character portraits for myself, I had my husband's characters lined up to do "sometime afterwards", but the spark of creativity decided to interrupt my own set to get to this one first!

Fabled mythos branding

I have challenged myself to create a fancy logo for my fight guild, Fabled Mythos. I have never 3d-fied a handpainted logo, nor I was able to animate one prior to this endeavor so I'm absolutely amazed by how it came out.

As the guild is focused on learning, I have created a set of symbols related to our goal.
Eye in the middle represents the knowledge and learning process;
Star around the eye is a compass rose symbolizing our will to explore and head to new directions;
Nordic-style laurel wreath is meant to remind us of the goal of victory in the fights to come.

Skelecats

I have created Skelecats chibi concept and emotes as to represent Nova & Nebula, two outworldly entities in Varyel as something more approachable to display on the discord server. They're pretty much mascots at this time and I find them absolutely adorable!

CHIHYON THE FIRE CONDUIT: The Shrine of Elements

Done for my husband @Volmie, during a downtime between commissions. Featuring his elementalist in the new "Astral Conduit" headpiece that came with the Catalyst. Architecture inspired by Arborstone + the armor pieces on the character, imagined it as some sort of catalyst/elements shrine.

the goblin experiment: A new shading style

This is a fragment of my recent commission, where client requested a very stylized logotype. Blown up in scale, the cel shading seemed awfully plain, hence I've tried to make it more interesting by trying to define more texture with the rough play between lights and shadows. 

I really wasn't sure how it will come out, but in the end, I surprised even myself. I really like the readability and colors both on small and large scale. I feel now like I'll have to use this style for some badges and icons in Varyel!

cyrus almighty - The Flames of War

An extremely detailed wallpaper commission for a friend, showing his GW2 OC in full glory. Throughout the process I have suggested a few changes and we were able to make his character shine (quite literally)!  
The complexity of legendary weapons in GW2 poses quite a challenge when working with them in my style, but after a few tries I have found a reliable way to express their nature when painting! Balancing of FX is also a tough one, but with some great feedback I've found what I consider an artistic harmony.

Unique take on a pet - bean the warbird

This is Bean, a bird who enjoys the Guild Wars 2 WvW fights as much as the owner does. Requested by a friend as a birthday gift for Bean's owner!

JxP: A gift for friends

Finally finished a painting for my favorite WvW drivers & friends from Guild Wars 2 and I cannot be happier with their reactions. WvW doesn't get much fanart, so here's beautiful SMC with beautiful people in front of it.

My favorite scrapper has requested a chat cover for Guild Wars 2.  Ended up with a variety of ideas, but we chose the most dynamic pose we could think of, and worked a bit on balancing the color scheme. In the end, I think I have captured the personality of this little asuran friend ♥ 

Ami britain: VTuber Artwork Set

I had pleasure working with the amazing Ami Britain on this 3-piece artwork set with multiple clothing variations and details. I loved working with her and I'm really pleased with the consistency between the pieces.

Metalsmith

The metalsmith represents a wealthy noble class of Mervè. Opposed to descending nobility, which is fully made up of Askallan progeny, most nobles aren't born into their class, but are assigned noble rights by the Archon in order to honor their work towards the betterment of the country and its people. Assigned nobles receive a piece of land, such as a small island, to cultivate their family bonds and care for lower ranks of society. To prove their belonging, they're gifted a noble armband, which acts as a non-written symbol of wealth.

Mistress Character Concept

The challenging part of designing characters is linking them to the world they live in. Although they're obviously one of the many races I crafted over the years, their culture has to display that, and for important characters still be unique enough. This concept is a first (public) reference sheet for a character for the upcoming webtoon, Memories of Crow. Her design was challenging as the ethnicity and current locations don't fully match, and she isn't a "typical" citizen either. I had to play around cultural and religious element, incorporating symbolism into the outfit, trying to imagine what people of this region would want to wear and how an outlier character would change that typical process of thought. In a place where tunics are more common, she displays more skin through carefully separated outfits, which both hint at her profession and create an image of a rebel fashion. Despite tropical weather, she's bravely wearing dark and expensive dyes, usually kept for formal occasions, and brings attention to her attire to create a memorable experience.
